While everyone else is setting resolutions, it only makes sense that I evaluate those I set when the school year started.
Find Balance -
Yes, I think I’ve mostly done this, despite a frantically busy fall. I remind myself often about this post, and think it has been very helpful. I look forward to a slower pace during winter hibernation, though. We’ll see how that goes;)
I haven’t regularly met all the objectives I set in September, and my activity level has fallen about as dramatically as the temperature in Wisconsin. However, I’ve lost more than 15 pounds on Weight Watchers since September 8, and my cholesterol is down too. So that’s something to celebrate. I’m staying the course.
Are you working on any resolutions??

I love reading about your successes! Much the same at my house, at the top of the list is taking time to acknowledge and give myself credit for the baby steps of progress.
Hugs,

Happy New Year y’all,
Congrats on a great success with the weight thingy. That is one of my goals for the new year as usual, but I did manage to not gain in 2008 – now if I cut one leg off I’d be at my ideal!! My greatest success in upholding my resolutions was my promise to READ more books in 2008. I prowled through 40+ cover-to-cover and became addicted to Janet Evonovich in the process. I plan to continue with my last year plan to do “something nice for someone every day” – even if it is as small as brewing coffee for the office. Paying for my friend’s trip to the Virgin Islands was the biggest NICE thing in 2008. Then I received a surprise refund on my electric bill for an error in the function of my Elec. meter for nearly the exact amount of $$$$ I had spent! Passing it forward really seems to work! I.L.Y. (pass it on)

Happy New Year! Despite the regular rig-a-ma-roll of life, you’re doing great with your weight loss – congrats and keep up the good work! I hear you on the balance thing – that’s one of my goals for this year. I’m tackling unfinished projects this year, which will likely help me find more balance since it will free up space in the house!
Best wishes this year with your goals, family and book!
