If you’re looking for an awesome teacher gift, click no further! You’ve found it. We made chai tea mix last year for teachers, bus drivers, coaches, etc, and everyone LOVED IT! Since the kids have all new teachers this year, I figure if it ain’t broke…
Many of the spices are already in my pantry, and last year it cost a total of $22 for about a gallon of dry mix.
Ingredients:
* 1/2 cup instant tea
* 1 cup sugar
* 1 cup dry milk
* ½ cup dry creamer
Spices:
* 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
* 1 teaspoon ground ginger
* ½ teaspoon salt
* ½ teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
* 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
* 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
* 1/8 teaspoon cayenne (careful, careful!)
Spoon a couple of heaping teaspoons into a mug of hot water, stir, and Voila! Steaming chai tea. Works for me!
What’s your favorite teacher gift?
Other dry mixes I’ve tried:
Nightmare before Christmas Cookies
Bean Soup

This sounds great – although I may make it for myself, not the teachers … is that bad??
Merry Christmas!

Looks like a lot work. I want chai in a salt shaker. I guess if I made it in bulk and only had to remake it every couple of months.
This year the teachers got the Ornament Cookie jars from Sams for $10.

I always thought that getting a Christmas break from my kids was a nice gift for them. ha ha.
I can’t remember, truly, what we did for the teachers when our girls were small.

I’m making some for myself. It sounds so relaxing and perfect for some lazy days ahead.

My fave tecacher give is sugar scrub, it’s super easy and feels great on the skin:
Homemade Brown Sugar Scrub
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2-cup olive oil
1/4 TSP vanilla extract
Pack brown sugar into bowl. Pour olive oil over brown sugar, and mix to form paste. Add vanilla extract (optional, I sometimes deon’t even use it,for scent.), and mix well. Keep refrigerate

Hi, this sounds so great! I was wondering, though, if you could give me more of an idea about what you mean when you say, “instant tea”. Sorry that I just can’t visualize what brand or ??? that you are talking about. Could you please mention a brand name or something, and maybe this will help me figure out what you mean? All the tea I ever buy is in tea bags or is loose tea. Thanks for your help.

This tea sounds delish hot or cold. In the summer over ice but in the winter with a little hot milk blended. Mmmmmm
