Do you have good news to share about youth? I’m encouraging bloggers to share “Good News About Youth, and the Adults Who Empower Them.” Please write about the great things you see happening in your community or the blogosphere - and I’ll feature links once per week through August.
Click here for Carnival of Education.
On August 6, the Carnival of Education will be hosted right here. While I look forward to reading all the entries, I plan to highlight posts fitting the theme for my book campaign:
“Good news about youth and the adults who empower them.”
So if you have some good news to share — even small-scale celebrations — please post it on your blog and join us for the carnival next Wednesday, August 6 (deadline for submissions Tuesday, August 5, 7 PM CST.) If you’re looking for some inspiration, here are a few examples:
My Daughter Won the Kohl’s Scholarship
Growing a Servant’s Heart
Passing the Torch in Texas
Piggy-Bank Philanthropists
You can use this carnival submission form to submit your post. This week’s carnival is over at The Chancellor’s New Clothes. Be sure to check out the excellent collection of articles.

Hey Kelly! I’m new . . . Robin at Penseive sent me over here . . . but I’m bookmarking you because I’m very interested in your topics. Great job!

I’ll be sending something your way, I’m sure. I’d like to write an ode to my AP, who is leaving his supervisory post over our high school’s English Department and taking over math. He’s been The Boss for 10 years, and I’m a tad nervous about the new administrator-in-charge! BTW, Tara. R. is “guesting” for Take Another Look Thursday–please come on by and check it out!

You know what inspires me AND the kids? Teachers like Steve Spangler. Please check out the video I posted today–way cool!

I’m very interested in what you’re doing. I’m sorry I missed the deadline for submitting a post this week. Next week I’ll be on vacation away from internet, but maybe I’ll catch you the following week. I’m following you on twitter and will also bookmark your blog so I can come back. Great ideas!
