You are so right – having kids do things on their own is a GREAT way to empower them! My motto when raising my boys is: Never, EVER, underestimate the power of a kid!

A lot of people think we are crazy to expect our ten-year-old twin boys to pedal 20,000 miles from Alaska to Argentina. But we say, “They can do it! Why wouldn’t they be able to?” Yes – in June we’ll be jumping on our bikes in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska and we’ll keep pedaling south until we get to Tierra del Fuego.
