Darla doesn’t fish. Mostly.
But when on Captain Randy’s fishing charter from Captiva Island, one must do as the fishermen do.
I think she adjusted pretty well, out-fishing all of us — catching a pin fish (above), trout (first photo), and Lizard fish (below.)
It was just after a storm and the fishing wasn’t spectacular for the rest of us, although Craig did reel in a Lady fish. Pretty, isn’t she?
Captain Randy made it easy for us to enjoy this excursion, even though some of us (the non-fish-every-year-in-Canada ones) were slightly out of our comfort zone.
While visions of career paths danced in some heads…
Captain Randy also took us to see dolphins and scavenge for shells. I’ll tell you all about those excursions in the next couple of weeks! $350 for our 4-hour private charter.

It looks like the kids had fun. My daughter has been wanting to go fishing but I haven’t taken her yet. She’s only “fished” in a pool at the fair.

She doesn’t fish but she caught one? Now I’m jealous.
Have a great Valentine’s.

I love the shares. The pictures are some you’ll treasure years down the road. I remember fishing when I was about D’s age and I’m sure I had much the same faces/reactions.
Hugs,
Holly
