It occurred to me recently, that our kids are completely surrounded by manners.
I can always count on our cabin neighbor friends (here and here) to politely ask for help when working on a project with our kids.
Even our littlest cousins know how to say, “Yes, please” and “No, thank you.”
And our new neighborhood is no exception. All three of the boys jumped up from the Playstation when my husband came home and told C to clean up the messy yard. They said, “We helped to make the mess – we’ll help clean it.”
So it’s no wonder that my kids stare in astonishment when they witness a child who’s acting rude.
And it’s no wonder I have so much blog fodder on Pass the Torch Tuesday.
You can pass the torch every week, by sharing simple and stupendous times kids make us proud, as well as the ways we see adults passing the torch. Just blog a story or share it in comments. My comment plugin will leave your link automatically. Former PTT posts. Complete Guidelines.

it’s our duty, as a parent, to teach the kids good manners and right conducts yet we can’t control the environment surrounds them. what matter most is we are available to guide them to find the right path.
you have a good PTT.

Even though my daughter is very good about saying please and thank you, I wish she would remember to clean up once in awhile.

great to hear this one. I see so many crude and rude ones.
I think it’s because such are the parents.

Surrounded by Manners
I celebrate the fact that my kids have great role models in their friends and family. It makes such a difference!

I’m with you, Kailani – Miss M’s manners are flawless, but her cleaning skills … not so great. But she’s developed a love of doing dishes, so I guess I can’t really complain!
