My nieces wrote us wonderful thank-you notes after they stayed with us for a couple of days. It really feels good to receive such creative and honest responses like these. It’s a tangible appreciation – something that took time and effort to do.
We aren’t good at thank-you notes, ourselves. We always give sincere thanks when we receive a gift or enjoy a visit, but we’re rarely organized enough to write the thank you’s.
Maybe we should…

Thank you notes are soo nice. Against his will of course, I usually make my son write thank you’s for any gifts he gets or if someone does something really nice for him. Its a great way for him to think about and hopefully BE thankful for what someone else has done for him.

I purchased some water color card stock and have been making my own thank you notes… some of them are 1/2 milers (term we use to say how far back you have to stand for it to look okay)….
but I think if I keep doing it, they’ll get better and I’ll send more off.
You are right. Thank you notes are great. Especially if you put some extra effort into it.
