It was a great trip, Pamela.

I have to admit, even in a large boat I was a little nervous when these huge animals went under us. And the captain was so excited, too — I think we were all pretty wound up.

I may have fainted if it had been a sailboat and a KILLER whale. EEEK!

When I was a teenager I went sailing (yes a 25-30 foot sailboat) out in the San Juan Islands, north Puget Sound, Washington. A Killer whale did the same thing to us. Came up, went under us, and came up the other side. I was so sure we would be swamped if he came to close. Gorgeous animals.
