This is part three of my Chicago fieldtrip series. Streets and building photos are here. Millenium Park photos are here.

We splurged on a four-star hotel only one night out of the three-day trip. Hotline was good to us, and snagged the Hyatt Regency right on the Chicago River downtown. Price tag? $104.

The view from our window was the Hancock building.

The view at night offered a spectacular show of city lights. And as soon as I get that tripod I’ve been whining about, I’ll be able to take photos that don’t look like my Canon’s laced with illegal substances.
Here’s the whole Chicago series:
Museum of Science and Industry
Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament
Children’s Museum
Our fancy schmancy room from Hotwire
Millenium Park
Streets and buildings

Hi Kailani and Pamela! The Chicago River is quite an icon. They dye it green for St. Patrick’s Day. And the Army Corps of Engineers actually reversed the direction of the river, because of all the pollution it was dumping into Lake Michigan. Amazing.

You know what?? I’m pretty sure WE stayed at the Hyatt downtown. Except we didn’t get that rate (although it was discounted). Yep, if I ever go again, it’s Priceline (or Hotwire) all the way…
