Some of you have asked what camera I use to perpetually terrorize my children and other natural resources.

It’s this:

8 megapixels of love-it technology, with more bells and whistles than I’ll learn in a century. I’ve owned it for almost a year, and learned a considerable amount in that period of time. I sometimes wonder how I ever managed with my Sony Cybershot, or my big and beautiful Nikon film camera, after switching to my neck’s new digital appendage. It’s fast, it tells me immediately how many shots are junk, and it holds approximately a zillion high-res photos, which gets me through most weeks.

Now if you’ll all just click through and buy one for yourselves, your parents, your aunts and uncles and HUSBANDS FOR FATHER’S DAY, I’ll hire myself a photo tutor to get the rest figured out before the thing is obsolete;)

For Mother’s Day this year, I took the kids to my mom’s to help her plant her garden. It was the best gift we could give her, and on this near-80-degree day, she was very appreciative of their long legs and boundless energy. I, of course, mostly took photos;)

Mom does a great job of passing the torch — teaching the kids a skill, and then turning it over to them. I’d like to focus on this part of PTT this week.
