A couple of weeks ago, the KARE 11 Saturday Morning Show producer (Twin Cities NBC affiliate) contacted me to participate in a segment this Saturday, May 5, to discuss my story in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Celebrating Mothers and Daughters. Two other area contributing authors will also appear on the segment.
Cool.
And the ever-sweet, completely-gorgeous, pregnant guru of all-things-garden and meteorology, Belinda Jensen will interview us.
With any luck I won’t make a total fool of myself during my 6 1/2 minutes of fame. If anyone in the Minneapolis/St. Paul viewing area could record it (approximately 9:30 AM), I’d be forever grateful. Border’s hosts a book-signing in Minnetonka after the segment, at 11:00.
Oh, um, I should probably think about my outfit.
UPDATE: The segment went well, and all was lots of fun. I’ll try to pull together photos for you, although I haven’t had any luck arranging anything “You Tube”-like. Sorry!

You’ve GOTTA record this so you can upload it so the REST of us can see it!!! How COOL is this? I guess with 6 1/2 minutes of fame down, you’re still due for 8 1/2 in the future
…maybe that’ll be an interview with Katie Couric or Oprah!
Thrilled for you, Kelly.
