Oooohhhh! I hate when that happens! Hopefully the kids took something positive away from the experience, like how not to treat people no matter their age? On the up-side, at least your kids weren’t singled out. From what you say she was rude to everyone!

Oh, how awful! I would think “works well with children” would be a prerequisite for employment at a Marine Science center. Hopefully, your children were too busy soaking in the surroundings to notice her rude behavior.

For us it was just a teachable moment. It was an eye-opening experience, more than anything. Our kids are really resilient – they just thought it was odd that someone would act that way.

The kids (all of them) probably knew more about Marine Science than the rude woman anyway. I cannot tolerate people like that
Especially when they are rude to children!
