That’s awesome. Whatever works says I! LOL My little bug has been coming to me asking for help to learn his ABCs. When did they grow up? How’s the writing for him coming?

My daughter has been trying to read the party supply catalog… her 6th birthday is coming up. LOL! She’s got quite a list going.
Hey, what ever motivates them, that’s what I say. If she wants to read the back of cereal boxes like her daddy, go for it!

I agree! Whatever motivates him!
Unfortunately, he is still not a fan of writing. We are taki g babysteps and hoping finger dexterity comes his way as we plug along.
Thanks holly and mary for your comments!

My kids love Foxtrot and Calvin and Hobbes (among other genres)…I’m just happy to see them CHOOSE reading, ya know?

Great pic! I love to see kids really enjoying reading - any kind of reading. Offspring #2, at 16 months, loves to sit down with a book and blether away to herself while she ‘reads’ it. The book is usually upside down but she knows to pause to turn pages and to say some ‘words’ louder or in a different voice and to stop for a little chuckle along the way. It is tooooo cute to watch.
BTW, I tagged you for a meme over at my blog. No pressure, only if you want to.
