…the power of inspired bloggers.
We reached our $500 goal for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Thank you. And St. Jude thanks you.
Based on those who attributed their comment, Shannon, at Rocks in My Dryer, brought in the most commenters — an estimated 58 who mentioned they came from her post about this project. Shannon’s generous link contributed greatly to the SPEED with which we reached our goal!
Congratulations, Shannon! You win your choice of a gently read book listed here, or the Hidden Treasure of Assets boardgame. Just email me with your choice and snail address.
And a special thank you to my sponsor, as well as some of our early linkers who established an obvious foundation in the links and comments:
The Dust Will Wait
Are we there yet?
An Island Life
Kaffee Klatsch
Tigerprr
Pensieve
Christina’s Shoebox
Southern Girl
Although I wasn’t able to track all the links that came in, they were A LOT. Many I discovered, but many I’m sure I didn’t. Know that I appreciated each and every effort toward our reaching this goal.
If it weren’t for those of you who told your readers — some of you said, “all two of them” – we never would have gotten the ball rolling at all. It was the steady encouragement of committed bloggers who made this effort real, and who provided legitimacy to the project. You encouraged your readers and you came back every single day. Your readers, in turn, encouraged others. The chain of links that led to 500 comments is staggering. You EACH played an important role.
I encourage you to read through the 500+ comments. There are some inspiring stories buried there.
This has clearly been one of the most worthwhile endeavors of my entire year. Thank you.
Have a wonderful weekend and a Happy New Year!
