Please remember the Linking for Dollars charity effort my company is sponsoring this week.

Thanks to Mary’s recipe, for the first time in a decade, Wal Mart did not fill our entire gift list. And depending upon how motivated we get between now and the big day, we may try one of Scribbit’s brilliant suggestions or a yummy homemade idea generated at Magi’s Gifts from the Heart project.
The reason this works for me, is because my kids can now read the recipes and measure all by themselves. Of course, I can’t guarantee quality control with this method, but it does fill gift list;) If you need a last-minute gift idea, these are great! And if you have a great last-minute gift idea, please share it here.

I can imagine it was sort of fun for them, too
We went a funeral last week. The hubbys 97 year old step grandma.
I’m gong to post a story about her one of these days.
She used to take her kids camping pretty much all by herself.
She would build a campfire, and throw on a pot of beans… which they would eat at every meal. Accompanied by – fresh camp bread, or fried potato and onion, pancakes.. etc.
Those beans just kept brewing on the pot over the fire – four days at least.

Wow, Kelly, this picture is FABULOUS! Beans, for heaven’s sake! Then, again, it’s morning, I haven’t had breakfast, I’m hungry, lol, are you getting a picture here?
The “thankful boxes” I wrote about are an inexpensive neat idea, I think. We gave several to family members last year.
