(Scroll down for yesterday’s contest winner.)

We met our friends at the conference last week, so our kids had fun playing in the waterpark with their kids — a seventh grader, fourth grader and two-year-old Gabe.
As we emerged from the locker rooms and worked our way to the elevator to take a break in our rooms, our two families were like a long train, with a few stragglers at the end. I was almost to the elevator, when I remembered something — just in time. To my seven-year-old C, there are few joys greater than pushing the elevator button.
I called back to him and said, “You go ahead and push the button for us.”
To which he responded, “No, we should let Gabe do it.”
This is why I host Pass the Torch Tuesday.

That was a lovely thing C did, Kelly. It’s been a while since I passed by your way and I do apologize. I did a PTT today, I’m slowly surfacing from where I’ve been
I loved your post today, Kallie. Welcome back!

Wow, I know what a sacrifice that is for a child. They’re usually fighting who gets to push that little button! Good going C!
We’ve had our share of “me firsts” in this household too. That’s why he caught me completely by surprise.

Isn’t it wonderful to experience “magic” with the touch of a button? I remember the magic, and then appreciated it again through the “wonder” of my children. So, so sweet for C to pass it along to someone else :). GREAT reason to host PTT!
Thanks Robin!

I like Robin’s comment…”magic” at the touch of a button. That’s a beautiful way to recall it.
Here’s my post for the week! Santa’s Bag of goodies

What a big guy Curt is already! You raised a great son there Kelly!
Yeah, he’s a keeper;)

That made me say “awwwwwwwww” right out loud, sitting here all by myself.
Isn’t that when you want to grab him and pull him close and peck a kiss on the top of his head?
Of course, you probably better not do that. He might not appreciate that in an elevator in public. Whew!
“Awwww” is exactly what I thought the moment he said it;)

[…] It’s been a few weeks since I got my PTT post submitted. As this week has started with a bang and me having serious blog withdrawals with no time to read or post, I’m putting it at the top of my list this morning (even if it is Wednesday now, let’s pretend it’s still Tuesday for just a minute!)
