Though I had high hopes of maintaining some semblance of order last week, and accomplishing a relatively normal load of schoolwork, we failed miserably.
Honestly, I don’t know what I was thinking. When I wasn’t preparing for the conference, or recovering from the conference, I was networking,

waiting to network,

looking at resources,

and taking silly photos of the break table.

But I did get to spend one day in Phy Ed. with the kids doing things like this and this. And I enjoyed their visits to me at work, even though I know they were only looking for this.

Note to self: Some weeks, it would be better to have low expectations for what you’ll accomplish homeschooling, and take time to enjoy what you ARE doing, rather than what you think you SHOULD BE doing.

hey… they used green and red table clothes. festive!!!
After seeing the indoor water park, I bet the kids would love more of those kind of weeks.

For sure! (As would I, but my practical side makes it unlikely we’ll have TOO many;))

I’d be looking for the candy, too! Oh well, at least the Phys Ed part went very well!

[...] On our way home from the conference, the moon was spectacular, so I decided to take a photo of it out the truck window. [...]

See dear, this is my very fear of being a homeschool mommy. My expecations are always so blasted high I think I’d feel worse than I already do for falling short on so many!!!
