Color me impressed! I'm a control freak I'm afraid when it comes to the tree--I HAVE to do the lights, no one else does 'em "right". The kids enjoy hanging their ornaments; they each have their own collection, contributed primarily from their grandmother. My youngest has already gotten his out and we don't even have our tree yet! Ha! I love it (his enthusiasm).

Great pic of D, it's my favorite of the bunch :).

They did an awesome job! Although I decorate to the hilt for Halloween, Christmas overwhelms me every year.

[...] I can’t help but ponder on my 4 year old’s polite manners. I’d like to think he’s getting it from me, but sometimes I can’t help but think that some of these traits are hard-wired in them before they ever reach us. Not that we don’t play critical roles in developing and nurturing such gifts and qualities, but I just can’t make myself feel good about taking all the credit on this one. Especially knowing that I think he’s more polite and aware of giving thanks than I am! LOL [...]

Oh, that's lovely! I'm such a scrooge, I don't have the energy to decorate the house or anything Christmasy. But after seeing this, I might just get into the spirit for the kids' sake.

That is so cool Kelly! Cutting down your very own tree that you pick out! I love real trees, but the ones at the tree stands here tend to get sun burned on one side. I would love to go up North and pick one out at a Tree Farm!
Very pretty shots of the kids decorating the tree!
My PTT is up. It's about me remembering some of the little things my kids have done.

Oh my goodness, I remember when we used to go to the Christmas Tree Farm :) What great memories that brings back! I miss having a real tree, but I dont have the time (or patience?) to take care of the maintenance! *hugs*

the hubby pulled out old video's the other day. We watched - we were so young. I was sitting on the floor carefully unwrapping the breakable stuff - and the girls were bouncing around finding places to fill on the fresh tree. You could hear the music playing.

I remember from my own childhood - decorations that were glass fruit. When my mom died there was only one left - a rasberry. I don't know which of my siblings took it home. (If you saw my egg story you know I got that crazy little memento instead.. ha ha ha ha)
