1. Offer to give your kid’s neat-freak friend a ride home.

2. Say nothing as your daughter is mortified by neat-freak friend saying, “Yuck” when she climbs into the back seat.

3. Own a handheld vacuum (i.e. Dustbuster type) that kids know how to use.

4. Listen with interest as kids organize plastic bags and handheld vacuum to take on our errands in the car the next day.

5. Smile in triumph as both kids detail the backseat while you drive, without one iota of adult intervention.
