My 6 y/o is doing little things like making his bed (on good days), but not much. That's a great article Kelly. And I too grew up in a country where you have a responsibilily in your house and there was never allowance paid. And I think that's a better idea, this way the kids appreciate doing chores b/c Mom and Dad take good care of them, not because Mom and Dad are paying them to do the work that they should contribute any way.
