This week’s tip is borrowed from one of my blogging friends, Tonya at Drama Queen’s Momma , because I’m incapable of generating a single original thought it was a great idea.
She wrote about the whiteboard she bought and how it made it fun to give messages back and forth with her daughter. So you know what I did? I went RIGHT OUT AND BOUGHT ONE! $15 at the worst-of-all evils, Wal Mart.
The kids think the whiteboard is the greatest thing since, well, whiteboard. They love using the markers and writing what they’d like for lunch the next day, etc. And we leave each other messages on it.

A fun way to improve communication!!

I love my white board too! There is nothing like it for jotting
down little messages or making a quick grocery list!
Thanks for sharing!

my little kids love it! They can doodle doodle doodle!
We got one for my daughters 2nd bday and I’ve been back for new markers every 3 months lol

I giggled when I saw the “love you more” marker.
I used to say that on the phone with my oldest grandaughter. They lived on east coast.. us on west. I would say “I love you.” She would say “I love you more.” After a while it became a game..
I would say “I love you more than chocolate ice-cream.” She would say something else. So it went. She wasn’t four yet, so her “more’s” were always a funny response. The best being when she said
“Gramma, I love you more than a poo-poo platter.!”
She’d been watching “It’s a Bugs’ Life” ….

So funny, Pamela! We do the same thing! With my son, it’s more like the bunny story about “I love you all the way to the moon and back”. He never lets me win he’ll still be saying, “but I love YOU a million times around every blade of grass in the world.”
FUN!!!

Whiteboards are great. I’ve been using one for months now. Of course, one time, I wanted to throw it away.
Each morning, I wake up to see some notes written by my wife in the white board. One time, it was “Love you.” Another time, it was “Have a great day.” Then it changed. It became “Do laundry.”
Hmm. I did it, anyway.
My wife came home from work and told me how great a husband I was.
Yeah, right.
Later, another note: “Clean the cupboard.”
Okay. That’s it, I told myself.
“What’s this?” I asked my wife.
She looked at me and said, “Oh, those are things I need to do.”
Oops.

Great idea! I used to have a white board that I used to keep track of our schedules and grocery lists. It worked. Then we moved and I lost the whiteboard. Perhaps I need to go get another one.
Thanks for your comment on my WFMW No Fear Shakespeare post! I do appreciate it!

[...] I bought a medium-sized whiteboard last year and it was so handy for reminders, grocery lists, and random comments, we decided to move the whiteboard to our new house. [...]
