There are lots of great things going on in the blogosphere, so I’ll give a few shoutouts.

First, my “Positively Speaking” column at 5 Minutes for Mom, generated comments that taught me a lot about the kind of chores I can expect from my kids. If you haven’t read the column or the comments, I encourage you to do so. You may glean some excellent perspective about responsibility.

Second, Robin, at Pensieve, is hosting a shameless contest to generate traffic on her blog. There are a bunch of excellent prizes, one of which is given to the blogger who sends the most commenters that say “Pass the Torch sent me”;) (or something like that.)

Third, Brony, at Parenting with a Mental Illness, is celebrating her 100th post by encouraging bloggers to visit her and become more aware of mental health issues. Her goal is 100 comments.

Fourth, Chilihead is sponsoring a Halloween Open House the end of this month, and she’s sharing all kinds of decorating ideas to gear up for the spooky day. If you’re in the mood to get ghostly, she has great ideas to get you started.

Fifth, Kailani is hosting a Halloween costume contest from Oct 25-31, which looks like loads of fun and has already generated interest on here readers’ blogs.

And, of course, tomorrow is PASS THE TORCH TUESDAY!! As usual, I’m anxious to read about how you’ve caught kids being good lately.
