It took ten minutes rummaging around in too-small pink, flowered, and glittery tennis shoes before it dawned on me that my daughter’s well-endowed almost-ten-year-old feet had grown to “womanly” proportions.
So we skipped three aisles over to the much-greater selection offered in “women’s athletic shoes”.
And my heart ached as she quickly found the perfect pair.
On the way to the checkout she sweetly asked, “Can we look at kid bras?”
“Maybe when you’re ten.”

Well, my poor Sophia got my “Fred Flintstones” feet. They are like a boat. I can’t fit into any nice dainty shoes, and not to mention that they grow one size larger after giving birth to three children. Who grows a full size after their thirties??

I feel it too. Ironically my daughter asked me the same question just last week and I was thinking to myself, “I didn’t sign up for this fast forward aspect. I’m quite certain I should still have a good 3-4 years before this stuff!” Yet she continually proves otherwise! LOL I swear I only blinked!!

That’s so funny–Drama Queen said, just yesterday, “I can’t wait until I can wear a bra to school.”
