Congratulations to Christine at Are We There Yet?, whose post about her daughter’s great attitude about helping mom, was chosen as the spotlight post this week! Christine receives the Pass the Torch award button, a developmental assets refrigerator magnet, and a place of honor on my sidebar for the whole week.
If you’d like to join us on Pass the Torch Tuesday, guidelines are simple. Every week, we share simple and stupendous times kids make us proud. Just write about catching a kid being good, link to the current PTT post on this site (it will ping in comments) or put your link in comments so we can find it, and read everyone’s posts. Or if you’d prefer to share your story in comments, that’s fine as well! Complete guidelines and former PTT links are >HERE< .
Congratulations, Christine!
Also, Holly is celebrating Husband Week along with me, and her post today is a thought-provoking one: comparisons between marriage and computers.

Waya (http://www.beforebaby.com/waya/) told me about this after reading my post from today (http://wallpaperofmymind.typepad.com/the_wallpaper_of_my_mind/2006/10/when_youre_hold.html) about watching my daughter give all her money away.
What I great idea to do this!

Attitude isn’t everything, but it sure goes a long way
. My 14-year-old is at the point of initiating help rather than waiting to be asked…….a wonderful parent moment, for sure!
