On a glorious weekend afternoon, we met my brothers and sisters at the apple orchard. Very tall Uncle Eric, plus very tall seven-year-old Curt, quickly became a human extension ladder to the perfect apples at the top of the trees.

I love this time of year. We have several apple orchards around here– just picked up a load today, in fact!
